A terror group has made another bomb threat to schools in the Hilton Central School District near Rochester, New York, over an LGBTQ book it claims is “pornographic” that was available in a Hilton high school library. Several schools in the Hilton Central School District were evacuated on Wednesday due to the first bomb threat, school officials and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office said.
Now, the threat has been repeated all over again.
Families were told in a chilling message: “We have received word that the same threat from Wednesday was resubmitted to local news stations again this morning, from the same IP address as Wednesday’s threat.
“At this time, Monroe County Sheriffs are determining the credibility of the threat.
“In an abundance of caution and to allow for planning, all Northwood and Village students will be held on their buses in the building bus loops.
“Quest will be on a two hour delay. Both Merton Williams and the High School are on lockout. We will be in touch with the next steps.”
Students were held on buses as staff and the authorities raced to evacuate the at-risk areas.
The initial threat made on Wednesday warned that bombs had even been placed in people’s homes, with one to three pipebombs in each location. While the threat was anonymous, the email domain indicated it came from Russia.
The threat claimed that the schools encouraged “children to read sexual content such as ‘this book is Gay’, a book which contains graphic sexual content and encourages children to use hook-up apps.”
However, it is actually a sex education book and contains no pornographic material.
