Miley Cyrus‘ night is off to a good start.
On Sunday, Feb. 2, the “Flowers” songstress made her first public appearance at the Grammy Awards since her brother Trace expressed concern over their father Billy Ray Cyrus. Miley, 32, brought her mom, Tish Cyrus, and boyfriend Maxx Morando to the show.
Soon after she arrived at the awards show at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, Miley learned that she and Beyoncé won a Grammy for their Cowboy Carter collaboration “II Most Wanted.” They won in the country duo/group performance category.
The “Angels Like You” singer — who won her first Grammy at last year’s show — earned a Grammy in the country category before her dad did.
Miley’s appearance comes after Trace penned an emotional letter to his dad on Instagram on Jan. 22 and wrote that after years of wanting to be like him, he can “barely recognize him now.”
The letter came after fans expressed concern over his chaotic performance at The Liberty Ball during President Donald Trump‘s inaugural celebrations.
“You’re not healthy Dad & everyone is noticing it,” Trace wrote. “As I write this with tears in my eyes I hope you realize this message only comes from a place of love and also fear that the world may lose you far too soon.”
“I’d love to help you if you would open up and receive the help,” he continued. “You know how to reach me. Till that day comes I will continue to pray for you.”

Billy Ray addressed the criticism in a statement to PEOPLE days later and said he “wouldn’t have missed the honor of playing this event whether my microphone, guitar and monitors worked or not.”
“I’ve learned through all these years when the producer says, ‘You’re on,’ you go entertain the folks even if the equipment goes to hell,” he said. “I was there for the people and we had a blast. That’s called rock n roll!!!”
On Jan. 24, a Cyrus family source told PEOPLE the brood wants no part in the drama.
“They got through the drama of 2024, and it’s a new year,” the insider said. “Miley and Noah and Braison and Tish, they don’t want to be this Cyrus family feud. This is not enjoyable for them.”
Billy Ray, 63, is dad to sons Trace, 35, and Braison, 30, and daughters Brandi, 37, Miley, and Noah, 25, with Tish, 57, whom he divorced in 2022 (The singer is also dad to son Christopher, 32).
Two days later, another source told PEOPLE that Miley doesn’t want to be involved.
“Miley used to feel overwhelmed by the family drama. She worked hard to remove herself. She’s not about to get involved again,” the source said.
“She’s in a great place now. She’s thriving and looking out for herself,” the source added of the “Malibu” singer.
Miley has not spoken out about the family drama. However, at last year’s award show, she kept her dad out of her acceptance speech for record of the year. A few months later, in an episode of My Next Guest Needs No Introduction, Miley expressed gratitude for being able to watch her dad lead the way ahead of her.
The Grammys are broadcasting live from Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on CBS or stream them live and on-demand on Paramount+.
